How to Play Gaming Machines
You must have a SHOW by SkyCity card or valid Premier Rewards card to play.
- To get started, insert your card correctly into the machine (light must go green)
- Enter your PIN
- Insert any cash, QUICK tickets, or download balance from your account and you are ready to play
- When you have finished playing, if you have QUICK Pay enabled, simply remove your card and any credit will automatically transfer back to your account
- If you don't have QUICK Pay enabled, hit 'collect' to print a QUICK Ticket and remove your card
- To cash out your QUICK Ticket, visit a QUICK Exchange Machine or any Cashier.
SkyCare Breaks

To provide a sustainable and fun gaming experience, we have introduced SkyCare breaks - scheduled pauses in play - which allow you to enjoy a break while visiting SkyCity Queenstown.
Our Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) and Automated Table Games (ATGs) will notify you when SkyCare breaks are approaching. After the appropriate break has been completed, you will be able to continue playing.
You can view your play time for a session, day or week by pressing the ‘Check Limits’ icon then the ‘SkyCare Breaks’ icon found on any EGM or ATG. You can also visit our new SHOW by SkyCity Sign Up Kiosks to view your play time for a session, day or week and see the breaks taken or remaining break time needed.
Pre-Commitment
Customers can continue to set their personalised play limits. Gaming machines will continue to notify customers when they are approaching and when they have reached those limits. Once a customer reaches their personalised limit, they will no longer accrue SkyCity Rewards Points (if they have opted in).
These limits can conveniently be set on the Gaming Machine. Press the 'limits' icon, then the 'Pre-commitment' tab and follow the onscreen prompts.
