At SkyCity there are two ways to control your gambling: Self-identified exclusion and SkyCity Exclusion. This section explains these two options and the differences between them.
Self-Identified Exclusion
Self-identified exclusion is a voluntary action you can take if you feel you want to control your gambling by excluding yourself from the casino.
Self-identified exclusion is available for 3, 6, 9, 12, or 24 months and has conditions you must meet to gain re-entry.
SkyCity Exclusion
SkyCity may issue a two-year SkyCity exclusion when it has reasonable cause to believe, as a result of ongoing gambling or other behaviour(s), that a customer is experiencing gambling harm.
We also provide the opportunity for other persons such as a family/ whanau member, a friend or employer to voice their concerns about a customer’s gambling behaviour, which will then be assessed to confirm if gambling related harm is present.
SkyCity’s decision will be made on the basis of available information, including any refusal of a self-identified exclusion offer.
The customer must meet re-entry conditions before being allowed back into our gaming areas. Click here to check the re-entry conditions.
This is an important decision, and we want to ensure we approach it with the care to better support the customer and those around them.
