Before you arrive
A few essentials worth knowing for your first visit:
You must be 20 years or older to enter the gaming areas, and a valid government-issued photo ID is required. Acceptable forms include a current passport or a current New Zealand or Australian driver's licence.
A neat and tidy standard of dress is required throughout SkyCity. For details on dress standards, accepted identification and more, see the visitor questions below.

SkyCity Queenstown is located in the heart of Queenstown CBD, within the Stratton House Building on Beach Street. Just a two-minute walk from the lake and close to central hotels, bus stops and nearby parking, it’s easily accessible whether you’re arriving by car, public transport or on foot.

You must be aged 20 years or older to enter the Gaming areas at SkyCity Queenstown.
At SkyCity, we are proud to provide you with a world-class environment to enjoy. We require a neat and tidy standard of dress at all times.
The following items are not appropriate:
- Torn or damaged clothing (except fashionably distressed items)
- Dirty clothing or footwear
- Safety or trade clothing (eg safety vests)
- Sleeveless tops on men
- Gang patches or insignia
- Hats or caps (except for religious or medical reasons or within the Poker Zone)
- Sunglasses (except within the Poker Zone)
SkyCity reserves the right to refuse entry where patrons are not appropriately dressed.
SkyCity accepts the below as a form of identification to sign up to SHOW by SkyCity and play any of our Casino games:
- Current passport
- Current NZ or AU driver’s licence
- Current NZ firearms licence
- Current overseas national identity card (with signature or biometric data i.e. fingerprint)
- Don’t have any of the above? See other acceptable identification options here.
Signing up to SHOW by SkyCity Rewards is free. Provided you are over the age of 20 and not excluded from entering SkyCity’s premises you can sign up here online or inside the Casino.
At SkyCity there are two ways to control your gambling: Self-identified exclusion and Third Party Exclusion. You can either call and speak to our Host Responsibility team on 0800 759 2489, or if you are at the Casino, please visit the Security desk or speak to one of our security team. You must be aged 20 years or older to sign up to SHOW by SkyCity Rewards programme. SkyCity is a responsible host. If you wish to discuss your Gaming, please talk to a SkyCity staff member or call the Gaming Helpline on 0800 654 655. Children under the age of 14 years must not be left alone at SkyCity. The casino and Level Two Bar & Lounge are open daily from 11am until 1am and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
